Welcome to Clare - the singer songwriter duo from Munich

 

Female singer-songwriter duo CLARE was founded in 1995 somewhere between California and County Clare. Their music is a blend of pop and folk in good old songwriter tradition, but interspersed with elements of Jazz. The two clear and compatible voices melt in perfect harmony with Petra Eichstaedt's gentle pickings. The music's careful arrangements with piano, background guitars and various drums / beats turn CLARE's music into a unique "feeling-well-experience". Stories are told with Katja Uhrner's sharp lyrics, melancholic to ironic, reflecting a thoughtful, but positive and warm view of the world. When comparing CLARE's music to others within their sector, most often Simon and Garfunkel are heard, next to Jewel, Dido and the Cranberries.
